Irozon Ride
Irozon Ride is an Irozon-built product designed to make the Swedish motorcycle-licence journey easier to understand and follow. It brings the licence journey, practice tracking and student–supervisor collaboration into one focused experience.
Project overview
The path to a motorcycle licence in Sweden involves many steps, rules, training requirements and practical activities, and the information behind it is spread across multiple sources. It isn't always easy for a learner to see what the next step is, what's already done, what's left, how their practice is progressing, or how a student and supervisor can stay coordinated through the process. Irozon Ride (published under the product name theRide, at ride.irozon.se) was built as a clearer digital journey through the whole process, focused on making the next step visible and giving the user a simple sense of progression — for the A1, A2 or full A licence category.

Scope of work
- Journey: the process is broken into clear phases and milestones (such as the learner's permit, health declaration, risk training, theory and the practical test), each with a completed / current / upcoming state and an overall progress percentage
- Connect (concept preview): a concept for discovering supervisors and students by area, availability and licence category — clearly labelled as a preview where no real requests are sent yet, not a finished messaging feature
- Practice: learners can log practice sessions by date, duration and training type, to see their hours and confidence build over time
- Swedish and English context: the product is built around the Swedish licence process but supports English-speaking users throughout, with Swedish terminology translated and explained in context — a product/design decision, not just translated UI strings
- A no-login demo journey shows how the tracking works, while signed-in users get their own saved journey
The solution
Irozon Ride is a modern, responsive React web application with server-side architecture, authentication and Firebase/Firestore for application data, deployed to production and owned and maintained on an ongoing basis by Irozon. The product and UX decisions centred on keeping the experience focused: breaking a bureaucratic process into clear milestones, making progress understandable at a glance, prioritising mobile usability, avoiding unnecessary complexity, and handling both a signed-in experience and an anonymous demo experience in a way that stays clear to the visitor.
